Homemade Phone Arm Band

I went for a 9 mile run in 12 degree weather today. It was my longest run I've done in years. I've been doing 8 mile runs on the treadmill, but I just couldn't bring myself to do 9 miles on a treadmill. I don't usually bring my phone with me on a run, but today I figured it would be safer to bring it since it was so cold, and I didn't really know the neighborhood. As most of you know, I do NOT have the direction gene. Well, I couldn't put it in a pocket as it would jiggle up and down with every step I took so I MacGyvered up an arm band for it out of duct tape and velcro. My Marketing Department (Jay) decided it needed to be branded.

It's all good.

70 years ago...

While drinking beer in Marquette, we found a reprint of a tourist magazine from the 1930s. It had pictures of Model T cars and women wearing bathing suits that wouldn't qualify for even Ray to consider them "Summer Fashion". The ads were facinating. Pardon the picture quality. Taking pictures in a dark bar on macro isn't easy.

Brrrrrrrrr

I don't know what is was an hour ago, but it's pretty cold now.
We rode through the Arboretum and saw huge turkeys.

It was a nice ride. Not very many cars out. There was a nice, still, quiet feeling in the air.

It was fun riding through the really deep snow on the sidewalks, slipping and sliding and pretending it was deep sand in a Belgian 'cross race.

Passed a few runners and walkers enjoying the lazy day.

I don't like taking a half hour to get dressed. I must be getting soft.

Left the bikes in the hallway to drip dry.
